The Finance Ministry tends to the financial integrity of our community. Our goal is to use our resources wisely to strengthen our spirituality and sense of community.
Led by the Treasurer, the Finance Group meets as needed to study and make recommendations on financial issues. They are particularly active during the preparation of the annual budget. In the fall the Finance Team recommends a proposed budget to the CCC Board. Once approved in December by the Board, the budget is taken to the congregation for final approval in January. As part of the budgeting process, a subgroup of Finance handles the Stewardship Season. This team devises an annual Stewardship theme which integrates our decisions about annual giving with our spirituality.
CCC has an Endowment created over twenty years ago which provides ongoing financial support to our operations. The Endowment Group is responsible for oversight of this important asset and works with our outside financial advisor to manage our investments in a conservative manner. There are three team members who serve three-year terms and are appointed by the Board.
Recognizing that our community continues to benefit from the generous support provided by those who came before us, we must consider how future generations can benefit from what we provide for them. There are numerous ways to benefit the CCC community, e.g., through gifts of cash, life insurance, real estate, or stock set up by a will or trust. Contact a trusted and experienced professional if you’d like to consider such a gift.
Our annual pledge drive is the lifeblood of our community. However, gifts to CCC are gratefully accepted throughout the year. Gifts may be designated for a specific purpose or for general use. Checks may be sent to our bookkeeper at CCC, 145 Rock Hill Dr., Tiburon, CA 94920.
