CCC OFFERS THREE FORMAL WORSHIP SERVICES:
Sundays 7:30 AM: A quiet, contemplative service, including silent meditation, simple chants, and an inspiring message, as we gather in a circle in the Seminar Room.
Sundays 10:00 AM: An uplifting family worship in the Sanctuary, with an inspiring message, global and familiar music.
CCC’s Church School is held each Sunday during the 10AM worship service for children ages three to nine. After the childrens’ time, which is offered at the beginning of the worship service, the children have the opportunity to stay with their parents or join us for a specially designed childrens’ program. We have created a progressive Christian curriculum that fosters inclusivity, recognition of the presence of God’s spirit around us and within us, forgiveness of our own and others’ failings, and a sense of responsibility to care for each other and for our planet. Believing every child is beloved, we acknowledge and appreciate the unique gifts and unknowable potential of our children as we help them to develop their own spiritual identities.
Child care is available for our infants and toddlers during the 10AM service. Our fabulously nurturing and fun childcare provider, Mada Mitambo-Moore, comes to us by way of Malawi and is a new mother herself. She has special training in early childhood care, first aid and infant and child CPR.
Taize : on the third Sunday of the month, at 7:00 in the evening: All are welcome to gather in our Seminar Room for a service of Taize chanting and meditation. The service is led by a cantor and flautist, who guide the simple and spirit deepening chants. Brief readings of scripture or poetry, a time of silent reflection, and a time to offer prayers for those in need complete the service. You are welcome to come and sing or just to listen.
